Our client is a Construction Equipment company that is among the world’s leading manufacturers of articulated haulers and wheel loaders and one of the world’s foremost manufacturers of excavation equipment, road development machines, and compact construction equipment. As a total solution provider, we also offer servicing, financing, used equipment, rental, and other related services.

Challenge:

The client employs an ASP.NET with an MVC application, and the corresponding database is hosted on the Azure Cloud, managed remotely. The application utilizes an Azure SQL database.

Solution:

To ensure maximum security for your Azure environment, we recommend taking the following steps:

• Create an Azure subscription within the Southeast Asia Region, specifically in Singapore.
• Implement the Azure Web Application Firewall (WAF) to provide added protection for your application.
• Perform server-level hardening measures to reduce the risk of unauthorized access.
• Restrict Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) access to authorized personnel only.
• Enable Azure Security controls and internal application controls to provide added layers of protection for your environment.
• Secure your website by using SSL with a 2048 key length and TLS 1.2 cipher.
• Activate Azure backup and recovery services to ensure seamless backup and recovery of your application and database.
