Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer with 8+ years of experience to manage day-to-day network operations, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of experience in a network engineering or related role and hold at least an ITE/Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, BEng, or BSc in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.

Pre-requisites:

• In-depth understanding of network systems, including network architecture, routing, switching, firewalls, and security principles.
• Must possess Cisco CCNP certification and Palo Alto PCNSE certification.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical information.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues efficiently.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day network operations: Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies: Improve network performance and reliability.
• Install, configure, and support network equipment: Including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP servers.
• Procure network equipment and manage subcontractors: Oversee network installation projects.
• Configure firewalls, routing, and switching: Optimise network efficiency and security.
• Support the deployment and management of Cisco SD-WAN solutions: Enhance connectivity and network traffic management.
• Maximise network performance: Through continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, and scheduled upgrades.
• Create and validate Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) policies.
• Develop and manage switching and routing Access Control Lists (ACLs).
• Configure Palo Alto firewall rules: Enforce network security policies.
• Configure Cisco wireless solutions: Ensure reliable connectivity and coverage.
• Manage Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) and ZPA VPN solutions: Provide secure remote access.
• Implement secure network access controls: Using AAA (Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting), Dot1x, and TACACS+.
• Report network status and performance metrics: To key stakeholders.
